ACCESS REMINDER TO STADIUM
Similar to the Hull and West Brom games, there will be no access whatsoever from the walkway in the south west corner to the stadium. Pass holders in the Willow Lane car park should please take note of this as it will affect their access to the stadium.
Work has been progressing with the enabling works behind the Rookery Stand and there will soon be new steps down to the walkway.
The enabling works consist of creating road and pedestrian access to the rear of the Rookery, against the allotment boundary, with a turning circle at the hospital end for emergency service vehicles.
Alongside the turning circle is a new staircase which is in the process of being formed, underneath this is an area which is intended to be used as a cycle rack in the future.
When the work is completed it is aimed that emergency response times to the south west of the stadium will be significantly improved.
On non-match days the road will be used by construction vehicles providing access to the south west corner. Here, phase one of the stadium development will commence - delivering a building to house the changing rooms, match day control room and media facilities.
At the same time, building of the key worker housing will commence wrapping around the Rookery stand across to Occupation Road.
We very much regret any inconvenience that the enabling works causes but we are doing all that we can to minimise that impact.
We will notify you of any future changes here at www.watfordfc.com
