THE young stopper came to Vicarage Road after catching the eye of boss Aidy Boothroyd while at Lincoln City.
Loach has played the majority of his football for the reserve side since he came to Vicarage Road and he has played his part in a successful 2006/07 season for the second string.
A foot injury initially stopped his early progress for the 'Orns but he recovered well and his form improved during the season. Loach has benefited from the 'Goalkeepers' Union' at the Vic where he can develop under the watchful eye of coach Alec Chamberlain.
His consistent performances earned him on a place on the bench for the first team when Richard Lee deputised for England stopper Ben Foster. Loach went on trial with Leeds United ahead of the 2006/07 season, but returned as United were unable to sign players due to a league embargo.
Later that season he had loan spells with Morecombe and most notably Bradford City, where he impressed. Loach made his full debut for the 'Orns in the 1-0 Carling Cup win over Bristol Rovers in August 2008.
