The young stopper came to Vicarage Road after catching the eye of boss Aidy Boothroyd while at Lincoln City.
Loach has played the majority of his football for the reserve side since he came to Vicarage Road and he has played his part in a successful 2006/07 season for the second string.
A foot injury initially stopped his early progress for the 'Orns but he has recovered well and his form has improved during the season. Loach has benefited from the 'Goalkeepers' Union' at the Vic where he can develop under the watchful eye of coach Alec Chamberlain.
His consistent performances have earned him on a place on the bench with the first team when Richard Lee has deputised for England stopper Ben Foster. Went on trial with Leeds United ahead of the 2006/07 season, but returned as United were unable to sign players due to a league embargo.
