JOHN Eustace has today seen his red card rescinded following the club's appeal to the FA.

The Watford skipper had picked up a straight red card against Hull City on Sunday for using excessive force and making no attempt to play the ball, apparently seen by referee Kevin Friend.

However, having studied video footage of the event, the all important powers that be could not share the official's findings and have decided to eradicate Eustace's impending suspension.

The midfield marshal will now be available to line up against the Tigers tomorrow night in the all important second leg of the play-off semi-final.

Earlier in the season, Watford have also seen dismissals for John Joe O'Toole at Charlton and Steven Kabba, coincidentally at Hull, rescinded.

With a total of six dismissals administered all season, that means an astonishing 50 percent of the Hornets' red cards this term have been judged to have been brandished in error.

That makes 84 minutes of football, almost an entire game, that Watford have been without key players through no fault of their own.
