Q: A few years back, a new player had to sing a song in front of the squad. Does this still happen or is there a type of initiation for new players and what did you have to do when you joined?
Craig Marsh, Laindon, Essex.

A: I believe there is an initiation at most clubs however I haven't done one. I would never get up and sing a song as I cannot sing for toffee! Luckily I've never had to do one at any of the clubs I've been at.

Q: Do you find it difficult to maintain your fitness levels to the required level for Championship football? What sorts of things are included within the training that helps with this?
Laura Woodall, Leighton Buzzard.

A:  The only time I find it hard is when I pick up an injury as you're unable to do any running as such, when you're not injured, training itself should maintain fitness levels but I like to do extra to keep my levels up there.

In pre-season you normally struggle to start with because you haven't played games, but I tend to run in the summer as well. Having said that the first game of pre-season is normally hard because there is no fitness like match fitness.

Q: How did you get started in professional football? I've noticed that you didn't start at Reading until you were 19, did you have a job before that?
Jeanette Chalk, Abbots Langley, Herts.

A: I made my debut at 18, prior to that I started playing football at 11-years-old for my local village side. Then I went from there on to my district side. I played for Leeds Academy from under 11s right through to under 16s. I then got released and went on to Reading and got into professional football.

I haven't always been a striker either, I've been a centre half, left back, left midfielder but on the whole I've played up front.

Q: One of the biggest topics of conversation where I sit in the Rookery is 'why does Darius wear a hand/wrist bandage?' He seems to wear it randomly and we wondered whether it was for luck or superstition and why sometimes it's bigger than others?
Katie, Watford.

A: I'm not sure if people realise but every now and again I'll go up for a header and land strongly on my hand which then twists my wrist. So it's just for wrist support really when I have had a fall and my wrist is a little bit sore. There aren't any superstitions or anything else behind it.

Q: Who is the biggest joker in the dressing room?
Kevin and Kyle Waugh, Hillingdon.

A: Jordan Stewart

Q: How do you find life at the club since Marlon King's departure compared to when he was at the club and do you think you've learnt anything from him?
Daryl Koch, Milton Keynes.

A: Obviously was Marlon was a big player for us, however I've been at clubs where big personalities have come and gone so it's just part and parcel of the game. Our partnership worked well together, especially in the Championship.

Q: How does it feel to be Watford's top scorer now?
Matthew Flynn.

A: Excellent! I just wish I could score more and I think I should have scored more to be honest. However as long as the team get promoted I'll be happy.

Q: Who do you think has been the best partner for you up front since joining the Horns?
Andy McDonough

A: I would have to say Marlon King because of the goals we scored.

Darius Henderson

Q: Being born in Doncaster and having Scottish roots, how is it that every club you've ever played for is pretty much in the south of England?
Alex Prentice.

A: Hard one to answer really, I started at Leeds and after that I made a conscious decision to move down south when I was 16.

Since then the clubs that have been interested have been southern clubs. Although during the summer I had the chance to move to a northern club [Preston] but decided against it.

Q: Where do you see Watford in three years time?
Kevin and Kyle Waugh, Hillingdon.

A: The Premiership.

Part two will follow shortly.
