WATFORD striker Tamas Priskin has joined fellow Championship side Preston North End on a month's loan.

The Hungary international joins the Lilywhites in time for their game against the Hornets' promotion rivals, Charlton Athletic, this afternoon.

Priskin, who has dropped out of the first team picture in recent weeks following the arrival of Collins John and the resurgence of Steven Kabba, has made seven starts and seven substitute appearances this season.

Priskin's last start for Watford was in December's home defeat to Plymouth Argyle and he was last involved as a playing sub in the early January cup win against Crystal Palace.

The Watford striker, who has scored two goals so far this season, cannot be recalled during the initial 28-day loan period. The Hornets can also choose to extend the deal through until the end of the season.

Earlier this week Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd revealed that the 21-year old had asked him for regular first team football which he had been unable to guarantee at Vicarage Road.
