KING SIGNS FOR WIGAN
STRIKER Marlon King has today joined Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old will move to the JJB Stadium after an initial move to Fulham fell through.
Fulham had returned to Watford with an improved bid for King, but Wigan's offer bettered this substantially.
Watford Chairman Graham Simpson said: "Everyone at Watford is naturally pleased that the situation has been resolved, especially Marlon who has endured an unsettling time.
"A new chapter will now begin and we wish Marlon all the best for the future. I would like to place on record my thanks to Marlon for all of his endeavours over the past few seasons."
During his time at Vicarage Road, King scored 37 goals in 82 starts in the period between December 2005 following a loan spell at the Vic.
