WEALDSTONE 0 WATFORD 4
WATFORD ran out 4-0 winners at Preston Park against Wealdstone in the first of the pre season warm ups.
First half goals from Tamas Priskin, Marlon King and Tommy Smith sealed the game before the break when a younger side was introduced.
Jordan Parkes' close range tap in as the game entered second half injury time finished Wealdstone off.
Mart Poom and Jobi McAnuf both made their Watford debuts at the home of Harefield United as Aidy Boothroyd took the first look at his 2007-08 squad in action.
The Hornets didn't waste any time in opening the scoring when Tamas Priskin flicked home a delicate header with just five minutes gone.

Jordan Stewart laid the ball off to Tommy Smith, who crossed into the box to the awaiting Clarke Carlisle.
Spotting Priskin hovering in the box, the knock down was never going to be wasted by the Hungarian.
Four minutes later and Watford had doubled their lead. Tommy Smith surged through the centre of the park with Marlon King steaming down the right wing.
After being set up by his team mate, King then cut inside with a quick two steps before unleashing across the face of goal and burying the ball into the far corner.
Watford were on cruise control now and it was Smith's turn to get on the scoresheet.
Jobi McAnuff sliced the defence open ready for Smith to leave the keeper Luke Blackmore with no chance.
Lee Williamson was the next to test the keeper, but this time the Wealdstone stopper was equal to the Watford effort.

At the other end of the park, Mart Poom was having a quiet yet impressive debut, hardly bothered but claiming everything that came within ten feet of him.
To give Watford their due, this clearly wasn't a fixture that was being treated as a walk in the park as at time, the constant surge of attacks were Alamo-esque.
Half time gave Wealdstone a chance to regroup and Watford an opportunity to shake their team up as wholesale changes were made.
Despite the younger side in the second half, Watford maintained their assault on the Wealdstone goal.
As much as chances weren't as free flowing as they were in the first half, Watford still enjoyed the lion's share of the possession.
Jordan Parkes had the first chance of note in the second half when he weaved his way through the defence and struck from close range, only to have his effort blocked by the legs of Blackmore.

The fierce strike of Johan Cavalli looked every inch the goal when he let rip from 25 yards, but his effort blazed past the post.
Tommy Williams then found his low drive gathered by the Wealdstone keeper in his attempt to cross for Steve Kabba as try as they might, Watford just couldn't break through in this half.
Cavalli then attempted another long range effort, but this time it was the other upright that the ball flew past.
As the game was about to enter injury time, Cavalli stepped up with a free kick out on the wing and as the ball pin-balled around the box, Jordan Parkes was on hand to convert.
As the referee blew for time, Aidy Boothroyd will no doubt be pleased with the result as well as the work out.
