WATFORD'S Finance Director, Chris Bailey moves on to pastures new.

After two years, Chris Bailey departs Vicarage Road to take up the position of Finance Director at Fulham.

Bailey said: "This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life; I even said in my resignation letter that there will always be a place in my heart for Watford, an element of emotion that I have never expressed in a resignation letter before.

"I've enjoyed working with all of the staff here immensely, especially my colleagues on the Operating Board, as well as my immediate team.

"Aidy has never called me the Finance Director. To him I've always jokingly been the PPO - the Purchase Prevention Officer.

"I've enjoyed working with Mark and Graham, from my first interview with them. The club has been both businesslike and a fun place to be."

Chief Executive Mark Ashton said: "Chris has been an integral part of the behind the scenes team here at Watford and I will be sorry to lose a valuable member of staff.

"But he has been offered a great opportunity that he feels he cannot refuse.

"Myself and everyone at Watford wish him all the very best for the future."
