WATFORD were put to the sword at the Walkers Stadium as the Foxes ran out 4-1 winners.
Leicester had the lead at the interval following Iain Hume's unstoppable strike 15 minutes in before a further three strikes in the second half from DJ Campbell, Alan Sheehan and Mark de Vries sealed Watford's fate.
A penalty in injury time, taken and scored by Marlon King did little more than raise a faint cheer from the travelling Watford contingent

There was to be no Midlands turnaround this time.
There was one change to the starting line up from that which faced Sheffield United with Steve Kabba replacing the injured Darius Henderson.
Watford's first chance on goal came in the second minute when Kabba took the ball to the by-line and put in a superb ball for the on-rushing Jobi McAnuff.
Approaching the far post, McAnuff just failed to direct the ball on target and it blazed past the upright.
The combination was reversed five minutes later when McAnuff stormed through the defence and slipped the ball through to Kabba. The front man already had the attentions of two defenders though and was unable to get his shot in before being grounded.
Leicester's response was for de Vries to tend a tame 20 yard effort wide of Mart Poom's upright.
But there was to be no stopping Hume's shot on 15 minutes. His 25 yard strike flew through the Watford defence and even a full stretch Poom couldn't prevent this rocket making its way into the top corner.

Watford immediately attempted to make up ground with Marlon King's cross almost connecting with Tommy Smith's head for an equaliser, but it was not to be.
Sheehan would have doubled the Foxes lead had it not been for the sae hands of Poom 27 minutes in. His free kick eluded the Watford wall and was making its way goalwards, but for the Estonian.
Jordan Stewart then attempted to score his second free kick of the season from a similar position to that at Molineux. But this time his strike didn't get further than the resolute Foxes wall.
With the whistle signalling half time, similar to the opening day at Wolves, Watford had it all to do in the second half.
The Hornets were quick out of the blocks in the second half with the pace up front splitting the Foxes defence.
King sprinted up the wing, feeding Williamson, who then laid the ball into the path of Kabba. Marton Fulop made it there first however and gathered at his feet.

Leicester than came within a lick of paint of extending their lead. Stephen Clemence stormed through the middle and let rip with a fierce shot which cannoned off the crossbar.
Within a minute, DJ Campbell had slid the ball past Poom only to see it fly off of the post and back into the keeper's arms.
Two minutes later though and the once Watford target got his name on the scoresheet. Sheehan's free kick made its way through the Watford wall and fell to Campbell's feet, who had the task of stabbing it past Poom.
Provider then became scorer three minutes later as Sheehan's free kick from the same area, took a wicked deflection and flew past the grounded Poom who had already committed himself to the ball's original flight path.
Things almost took a turn from the worse moments later when a melee broke out on the half-way line, involving almost all of the 22 players. This followed Lee Williamson's hefty challenge on a Leicester midfielder, which was met by calls for a card from the Leicester fans.

Whilst Williamson's original offence went unpunished with a card both Clemence and Watford's Kabba were carded for their involvement in the aftermath.
Watford were momentarily galvanised and after winning a corner Jay DeMerit was on hand to meet the flag kick and head back across goal to Dan Shittu, whose goal bound header was cleared off the line at the near post.
Marlon King then attempted to reduce the lead when his shot from the edge of the box skimmed the bar. Moments later, Tamas Priskin was introduced at the expense of Kabba.
Four minutes later and the substitute found the back of the net, only for it to be disallowed by the linesman's flag.
With five minutes to go, de Vries hammered the final nail into the Watford coffin when he sent Mart Poom the wrong way for Leicester's fourth.

A 90th minute penalty taken by Marlon King was little more than a consolation. All in all, a bad day at the office for Watford, with plenty to work on ahead of next Saturday's game against Ipswich.
